Appearing on The Babyfaces podcast, WWE Women’s champion
Tiffany Stratton addressed the in-ring segment which she had
with Charlotte Flair last week on Smackdown, a segment which
raised several eyebrows after it went personal.
Both Stratton and Flair said things that shouldn’t have been
said on live television, but it looks like both have escaped
any real consequences, at least for now.
“I think being so new to this business, being so new as
champion, I don’t think she really expected me to stand up
to her,” Stratton said after Flair was the first one to veer
off script. “And I don’t think she expected me to…I guess,
almost clap back.”
Stratton said that it was live TV and now more people want
to see their match and they did a very good job getting them
interested in it and invested in their story. She said she
holds the title and wants to keep the title and will pull
out every stop that she can to remain champion after
WrestleMania.
“Now I’m ready to put on the best women’s match ever, and
I’m ready to go to war,” she continued.
Meanwhile, her boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser wrote in a post on
Instagram that he was flooded with notifications after the
segment aired.
“Me waking up in Europe last Saturday to 1566273
notifications on my phone,” he wrote, adding a photo of
himself with the eyebrows raised.
Tiff also posted a video in a gym on her Instagram, with
Kaiser responding “Check your DM’s” along with a wink and
fire emojis.
