AEW COLLISION: Homecoming was broadcast on TNT and streamed
on MAX live from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL!
Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross, and Nigel McGuinness were the
broadcast team for tonight’s event.
It’s Saturday night and you know what that means! This is
for the Sickos!
Samoa Joe
vs.
The Patriarchy’s Nick Wayne (with Christian Cage, Mother
Wayne, & Kip Sabian)!
HOOK and Shibata walked down to ringside to level the
playing field for Samoa Joe.
Samoa Joe teased Nick Wayne, not even budging when Nick
tried some running shoulder tackles. Samoa Joe cracked Nick
with a thunderous chop. Samoa Joe went for a muscle buster,
but Nick Wayne gouged Joe’s eyes to escape.
Nick Wayne took down Samoa Joe with a dragon screw leg whip.
Nick Wayne moonsaulted out of the ring and crashed onto Joe.
Nick Wayne charged at Samoa Joe in the ring, but Joe
countered with a side slam. Nick Wayne nailed Joe with a
Code Red out of nowhere. Samoa Joe fired back with a lariat.
Samoa Joe planted Nick Wayne with a muscle buster and picked
up the pinfall victory! Kip and Christian tried to stop the
muscle buster, but HOOK and Shibata pulled them off the
apron and brawled with them.
AEW Continental Champion “The Rainmaker” Kazuchika Okada
vs.
ROH World TV Champion Komander (with Alex Abrahantes)!
Komander dropkicked Okada in the face. Okada raked Komander
in the eyes. Komander rocketed out of the ring with a tope
suicida to Okada. Okada kicked Komander and spiked him with
a DDT on the arena floor.
Okada blocked a hurracanrana, but Komander still face
planted Okada. Komander followed up with a bulldog for a
near fall. Okada rocked Komander with a neck breaker across
the knee. Okada dropped an elbow off the top rope. Komander
ducked the rainmaker lariat and clocked Okada with a thrust
kick. Komander hit Okada with a poison rana.
Komander walked the top rope, took to the skies, and
moonsaulted onto Okada. But back in the ring, Okada crashed
into Komander with a rainmaker lariat and pinned Komander.
After the match, Okada offered his hand to Komander and then
blindsided him!
“A dominating win by Okada,” said Jim Ross.
Powerhouse Hobbs was waiting in the parking lot for Big
Bill!
Big Bill threw a brick at Hobbs. Powerhouse Hobbs smashed
Bill with a baking pan and a forearm. Hobbs cracked Big Bill
with a trashcan lid. Big Bill booted Hobbs in the head.
Security got between them and tried to restore some order.
“You’ll see! I got you, Hobbs! You’ll see!” shouted Big
Bill.
Lexy Nair interviewed Big Justice and Big Boom!
The Undisputed Kingdom interrupted. Adam Cole gave a “Boom!”
with Big Justice and Big Boom!
Trios Bout!
Undisputed Kingdom—Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, & Roderick
Strong
vs.
TNT Champion Daniel Garcia, Angelo Parker, & “Daddy Magic”
Matt Menard!
Members of Shane Taylor Promotions were sitting ringside.
Garcia applied a headlock on Cole. Cole escaped and Strong
tagged in. Roddy and Kyle swarmed Parker and double teamed
him. Daddy Magic hammered down on Kyle with strikes, tagged
Garcia, and Garcia continued to punch Kyle in the head.
Cole and Garcia traded forearm shots. Cole pump kicked
Garcia, but Garcia answered with a high angle back drop
driver. Cole blasted Garcia with a neck breaker. Roderick
Strong tagged in and cleaned house on Garcia, Parker, and
Menard with back breakers! Kyle swept out Parker’s legs
while Roddy knocked him down. Kyle covered Parker and pinned
him, picking up the W!
After the match, both teams shook hands.
“Platinum” Max Caster was backstage!
Caster: “Last week my tag team partner turned his back on me
in front of the whole world. I’m not just any person, I
realized. I’m a survivor. I’m happy to announce my open
challenge series. Who can compete with the best wrestler
alive? This is where the best wrestle, but you can’t be
better than the best wrestler alive!”
Lexy Nair was backstage to interview Top Flight!
Dante Martin: “We haven’t found Action Andretti or Lio Rush
anywhere!”
Darius Martin: “Are you surprised they’re not anywhere
around to be found. Lio Rush started this mess. I’m here to
clean it up. Lio, let’s see how big you are when it’s just
you and me in the ring.”
Tony Schiavone was in the ring as AEW Women’s World Champion
“The Glamour” Mariah May and Number One Contender Toni Storm
went Face-To-Face for the “first time!”
Mariah: “Let’s get this over with. When I look at you, I see
nothing. When I think of you, I feel nothing. And in the
hearts of every one of these fans, you are nothing. You are
a joke. You are a meme. They laugh at you, and they forget
about you, just like I knew they always would. I do not care
about you. I have never cared about you.
“You were just the dumbest, easiest pawn I used to dominate
this entire game. And if I have to remind you again in
Australia, so be it. Because as good as I feel right now, I
will get off humiliating you in your hometown.”
Toni: “I am your biggest fan! Everything you’ve done, I’ve
seen it. You’re an inspiration. And one day, I want to be
just like you.”
Toni hugged Mariah May. The champ slapped Toni in the face
and ordered Schiavone out of the ring. Mariah May cracked
Toni with her championship belt.
Toni: “What makes you think that I’ve forgotten? What makes
you think our dance is done? Each scar, every drop of blood,
I will feel forever. But now, it’s my moment in the sun.
They say the hardest role you’ll ever play is yourself. But
what you’ve just witnessed is the performance of a lifetime!
Mariah May, you may be the women from hell, but you can from
my womb! I’m ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm and I’m going to rip you
apart!”
“‘Timeless’ Toni Storm is back!” said Tony Schiavone.
Gates of Agony—Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona
vs.
The Hounds Of Hell—Brody King & Buddy Matthews (with Julia
Hart)!
Brody chopped Toa. Kaun grabbed a blind tag and the Gates of
Agony double teamed Brody King in the corner. Buddy Matthews
came in and wiped out the Gates of Agony with a dive over
the top rope!
Back in the ring, the Gates double choke slammed Buddy.
Buddy crawled to Brody and made the tag. Big Brody came in
and bulldozed the Gates of Agony down. Brody planted Toa
with a Death Valley Driver. Toa fired back with a Samoan
Drop.
Brody blasted Bishop with a Bossman slam! Brody nailed Toa
with a Gonzo Bomb. Matthews followed up with a meteora. The
Hounds used a sliding dropkick cannonball combination on Toa
and Brody picked up the win!
“The Hounds of Hell get the win!” said Schiavone.
Lexi Nair was backstage with Penelope Ford and Thunder Rosa
who agreed to no physicality.
Penelope: “Remember when you were a champion? I don’t care
about the past. This is the present. And it’s time that AEW
recognizes me, and I challenge you to a match. I’ll put La
Mera Mera in the ground.”
Thunder Rosa: “I’m going to make it memorable.”
“Wow, that escalated quickly,” said Tony Schiavone.
Four Way Fight!
“The Virtuosa” Deonna Purrazzo (with Taya Valkyrie) vs.
Queen Aminata
vs. “The Professor” Serena Deeb vs. Yuka Sakazaki!
The winner earns a TBS Title Match at Dynamite against
Mercedes Moné!
Deonna left the ring, taking in the sights with Taya,
displaying an interesting strategy. Deeb used a drop toehold
on Queen Aminata. Deeb nailed Queen Aminata with a draping
neck breaker. Yuka came in with an explosive missile
dropkick. “The Magical Girl” took down all three opponents
with a dive off the steel post to the arena floor.
Deonna cracked Queen Aminata with a pump kick. Deeb leveled
Queen with a lariat. Deeb and Queen Aminata brawled on the
ramp and up the stage. Taya and Deonna double teamed Yuka.
Harley Cameron ran down and evened up the odds, but Deonna
pump kicked Harley in the face. Deonna power bombed Yuka but
Yuka rolled up Deonna and pinned her! Harley Cameron
celebrated on the outside!
Yuka will be facing Mercedes this Wednesday live on Dynamite
for the TBS Championship!
Lexy Nair was backstage with the Hounds of Hell!
Buddy: “When these hounds bark, we bark together.”
Okada laughed and said, “You bark like a bitch.”
Buddy: “How about you put your title on the line against
me.”
Okada: “No.”
Buddy: “Well I guess you’re the bitch then.”
Big Bill was in the ring calling out Powerhouse Hobbs!
Big Bill: Hobbs, do me a favor, take your bum knee, hobble
on out here, and this is where I will finish your story for
you!”
Hobbs answered the call. Security tried to stop him, but
Hobbs decimated them on his way to the ring!
Big Bill kicked Hobbs in the knee and then pump kicked Hobbs
in the head. Hobbs smashed a backpack into Hobbs’ head. Big
Bil emptied the bag and revealed there was a knee brace and
bricks inside of it. Big Bill began to choke Hobbs with a
pair of handcuffs. Hobbs was busted open!
Big Bill whacked Hobbs with a steel chair across the back.
Big Bill grabbed the knee brace and tossed it to the ground,
mocking Hobbs. Big Bill picked up a brick. Hobbs kicked Big
Bill below the belt. Hobbs hammered Big Bill with forearms.
Hobbs hurled Big Bill off the rampway! Both men crashed
through a pair of tables!
Footage played from earlier in the week of a meeting that
the Don Callis Family had!
Callis told them that Kenny Omega was bloodthirsty and
lacked empathy now. He said they should all be concerned and
the alliance with Will Ospreay should not happen.
Cage: “Don, don’t worry. There’s five of us and two of
them.”
Don Callis: “This is not the same Kenny Omega. And who said
there’s only five of us?”
AEW International Championship Match!
“The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita (c.) (with Don Callis)
vs.
“The Wrestler” Katsuyori Shibata!
Don Callis joined the commentary team for this match.
Takeshita dodged a PK from Shibata. Takeshita smashed
Shibata in the face with a pump kick. Shibata battered
Takeshita with chops in the corner. Shibata charged at
Takeshita and rocked Takeshita with a running dropkick.
Takeshita sent Shibata flying with a suplex. Shibata got to
his feet and locked on a sleeper, body scissors and all!
Takeshita transitioned and planted Shibata with a suplex.
Shibata answered with a kick.
“Shibata is like a machine. He just keeps coming,” said
Callis.
“He’s got one gear,” replied Jim Ross.
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Shibata applied an abdominal stretch. Callis left the
broadcast position and walked down to the ring. Callis
grabbed Shibata’s ankle. It wasn’t enough to stop Shibata.
Takeshita blasted Shibata with a blue thunder bomb, but
Shibata kicked out at the one-count! Takeshita rocked
Shibata with his finisher and scored the pin!
