While AEW had a show in Athens, Georgia last night, Malakai
Black was in Tampa, Florida, wrestling at the Havoc & Haze
indie show for Coastal Championship Wrestling.
Black’s (former?) tag team partner Brodie King was in action
during Collision, and was told backstage by Cope that it was
time for the King to take the reigns, just days after Buddy
Matthews was told that he does not need a leader.
Black is reportedly out of AEW and will not be appearing on
television again, with rumors suggesting that he will be a
free agent over the next two months.
His last match for AEW came in a four-way tag team match on
November 23.
