AEW DYNAMITE was broadcast live on TBS from the Fishers
Event Center in Fishers, IN!
Excalibur, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard, and Tony Schiavone
were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.
It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!
Continental Classic Blue League Match!
The Hurt Syndicate’s Shelton Benjamin
vs.
The Don Callis Family’s “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher!
Don Callis joined the broadcast booth for this match.
Both men locked up, both looking to gain an early advantage
with a collar and elbow tie up. Shelton backed Fletcher into
the corner turnbuckles and then shoved Fletcher to the mat.
Shelton hit Kyle with a shoulder block.
Fletcher began to pummel Benjamin with strikes. Shelton
returned fire with a charging lariat. Benjamin dumped
Fletcher on his head with a suplex. Fletcher hit Shelton
with a lariat, both men spilling out to the arena floor.
Shelton bounced Kyle off the barricades and then whipped
Kyle into the steel ring steps. Fletcher side stepped a
charging Shelton. Shelton collided with the steel post.
Fletcher flattened Shelton with a lariat for a near fall.
Fletcher blasted Benjamin with a kick and then a Michinoku
driver! Shelton came around with a kick, stunning Fletcher.
Benjamin power bombed Kyle. Kyle decimated Shelton with
vicious thrust kicks and then an elbow drop from the top
turnbuckle. Fletcher charged at Shelton, but Shelton
countered with a thrust kick.
Benjamin rag dolled Fletcher with three consecutive German
Suplexes. Shelton closed the distance with a knee strike.
Kyle rolled up Shelton, grabbed the ropes, and stole the pin
fall victory!
“The referee didn’t see it and Kyle Fletcher stole three
points to take the lead in the Blue League,” said Excalibur.
Up next: HOOK came out to the ring!
HOOK: “Nick Wayne, I heard what you said this past weekend.
So you want to fight me in a couple weeks in New York City.
I’ve got a better idea. I’d rather fight your ‘father’ and
leave him in a worse condition than you left my father in.
But Nick, how about you fight me right here, right now!”
Christian Cage, along with Mother Wayne, walked out of the
tunnel. Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne blindsided HOOK in the
ring. HOOK fought them off. Mother Wayne distracted HOOK and
Christian Cage cracked HOOK with the metal clipboard
containing the contract. The Patriarchy swarmed HOOK and
hammered HOOK with strikes.
HOOK’s arm was isolated on top of a steel chair. Nick Wayne
smashed HOOK’s wrist with another steel chair, performing
the con-chair-to!
“That hand has got to be broken,” said Daddy Magic.
Renee Paquette was backstage to interview NJPW Strong
Champion and TBS Champion “The CEO” Mercedes Mone!
Mercedes: “Are you obsessed with Kamille? Everyone knows she
quit, and I am not liable for her. And I’m sick of Anna Jay
sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. But I’ll be
watching her match against Penelope Ford tonight!”
MVP was backstage yelling at Shelton Benjamin over his loss!
MVP: “I love you but I’m disappointed with your performance.
That ain’t how we do it.”
An AEW crew member walked by and accidentally bumped
Shelton. Shelton and Bobby Lashley battered the crew member,
along with several security guards!
MVP: “That’s what we do!”
Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale!
Adam Cole vs. Kyle O’Reilly vs. ROH World TV Champion Brian
Cage vs. “The MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer vs. Mark
Davis vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ??? vs. ??? vs.
???
The last two men in the match will square off next week on
Dynamite: Winter Is Coming.
Evil Uno and Adam Cole slugged it out. Uno raked Cole’s
back. Mark Davis stunned Evil Uno with a kick and knocked
him out of the ring. The Butcher back dropped Mark Davis.
Brian Cage planted Dante Martin.
Lio Rush and Action Andretti eliminated Top Flight with
stereo offense. Mark Davis spiked the Butcher with a pile
driver. Archer and Cage ping ponged Mark Davis and then sent
Davis to the outside with a double lariat!
Action rocked Rocky Romero with a flying forearm. Kyle pump
kicked Action and eliminated Kyle O’Reilly from the match.
Kyle dumped Lio Rush over the top rope. Cage and Archer
choke slammed Rocky over the top rope!
Kyle dropped the Butcher with a flying kick, eliminating
Butcher. Cole kicked Cage in the knee. Cole superkicked Cage
out of the ring, while Kyle eliminated Archer.
Your winners: Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole! They’ll be facing
off next week on Dynamite: Winter Is Coming for a shot at
MJF at Worlds End!
A vignette aired for Julia Hart, who is setting her sights
on Jamie Hayter!
The Acclaimed were backstage with Renee Paquette!
Daddy Ass: “We have been sitting here for the past hour
trying to talk Max out of this. What we’ve become has not
been done by one person, but by all three of us. And you are
going about this tonight all wrong. Please talk some sense
into him.”
Bowens: “You call yourself ‘the best wrestler alive’? Go
prove it.”
Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) vs. The Acclaimed’s Max
Caster!
Swerve heard enough of Max’s rap and forced Max to eat his
words. Swerve whipped Max into the guardrail! Swerve planted
Caster with a German Suplex. Swerve cracked Caster with the
House Call kick, firing on all cylinders! Swerve served up
another one! Swerve delivered a third House Call kick and
pinned Max Caster!
“Maybe, just maybe, Max will look and this and think, ‘I
shouldn’t have said what I said,’” said Tony Schiavone.
Swerve put an exclamation point on the statement with a
Swerve Stomp to Max!
Swerve: “Don’t waste my time anymore. Lashley, this isn’t
over yet!”
Live via satellite, MJF had words for Adam Cole.
MJF: “Remember ‘Better than you, baybay’? It was record-
breaking and then you turned on me. Look at the butterfly
effect. Because of your actions, your friend Roderick
Strong’s arm is broken. And now you have to face Kyle
O’Reilly.
“Jon Moxley is running around murdering people in AEW, and
it’s all because of you, Adam. You’re the villain, Adam.”
Bang Bang Gang’s “Switchblade” Jay White
vs.
The Death Riders’ AEW World Trios Champion “The Bastard” PAC
(with Wheeler Yuta)!
Jay White chopped Pac in the corner turnbuckles. Pac escaped
a Blade Runner attempt. Jay White suplexed Pac over the top
rope, with Pac crashing onto the apron.
Yuta swept the leg of Jay White and then clobbered White
with a clothesline. The referee didn’t see Yuta’s
interference. Pac sent Jay White hard into the barricade.
Jay White nailed Pac with a half and half suplex into the
turnbuckles. Jay White jabbed at Pac, the intensity picking
up. Jay spiked Pac with a DDT for a near fall!
Jay charged at Pac, but Pac raised his boot. Jay White
dodged a shooting star press. White drilled Pag with a half
and half suplex. Pac managed to lock in a standing
Brutalizer! Jay White reached the bottom rope, forcing the
ref to break the hold.
Wheeler Yuta charged at White with the Busaiku knee outside
the ring as the ref was distracted Jay White grabbed Pac and
planted him with the Blade Runner out of nowhere, scoring
the pin fall victory!
After the match, Wheeler approached Jay, but Jay hit him
with the Blade Runner. Marina Shafir jumped into the ring
and stalked White. AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. The
champion drilled White with a Paradigm Shift.
“Hangman” Adam Page walked out through the tunnels. Moxley
and Hangman had a stare down. One of the production members
wrapped a cable cord around Moxley. He removed his hoodie
and revealed he was Orange Cassidy. Orange pulped Pac and
Hangman and Moxley with Orange Punches! Jay White planted
Moxley!
“What an incredible Dynamite moment,” said Tony Schiavone.
Page blasted Mox with the buckshot lariat!
The fans chanted “A-E-Dub! A-E-Dub!”
We heard from Jamie Hayter!
Hayter: “Julia, you like to play mind games. I’m more of a
face to face gal. I don’t know how many times I have to say
this to you and anybody else who is listening. This
International Women’s Cup means the world to me. I’m looking
to fight any time, any place. But you can’t fight what you
can’t see. So I’m going to come for you!
ROH World Champion Chris Jericho had a microphone and said
he’d reveal his opponent live tomorrow night on ROH!
“I’m Chris Jericho and this has been a New York minute!”
A vignette aired hyping the impending return of Bandido!
Anna Jay vs. Penelope Ford!
Penelope shoved Anna; Anna shoved back, knocking Penelope to
the mat. Ford swept out Jay’s legs and nailed Anna Jay with
a double knee drop.
Penelope Ford connected with a handspring elbow. Penelope
was looking for a moonsault, but Anna Jay swept out her
legs. Anna retaliated with a neck breaker. Penelope escaped
the Queen Slayer and countered with a stunner for a near
fall.
Anna dodged a moonsault. Anna Jay rocked Penelope with a
dropkick. Penelope applied a bridging death lock, but Anna
scooted over to the bottom rope. Anna planted Penelope face
first and scored the pin!
“What’s next for Anna Jay?” wondered Daddy Magic.
Anna Jay: “Mercedes, I know you are watching tonight, so get
out here right now!”
Mercedes walked onto the ramp!
Mercedes: “Let me get one thing straight. If Kris Statlander
can’t beat me for my title, then what makes you think you
can? And people call me arrogant. Mariah must have kicked
you a little too hard in the head. But I actually like your
confidence. So if you want a shot at the TBS Championship, I
think you should come back in 10 years after you’ve done
something in this business.”
Anna slapped Mercedes! Mercedes said she didn’t have time
for this and retreated!
Renee Paquette was backstage with AEW Women’s World Champion
Mariah May!
Mariah insulted Renee and Renee tried to walk away.
Mariah: “I think giving a title shot to my best friend is
generous. I believe in you, Mina.”
Mina approached Mariah, handed her a champagne bottle and
said, “Do it to my face. Make me work!”
Continental Classic Gold League Match!
House of Black’s Brody King
vs.
The Death Riders’ AEW World Trios Champion Claudio
Castagnoli!
They locked up. They bashed each other with strikes and
upper cuts. Brody rocked Claudio with chops to the chest.
Brody scoop slammed Claudio and then splashed him with a
senton. Claudio kicked out at the one-count. Claudio took
Brody off his feet with a basement dropkick. Claudio stomped
Brody’s shoulder blades and then wrapped Brody’s right wrist
against the steel ring post!
Brody drilled Claudio with a Death Valley Driver for a near
fall. Claudio rocked Brody with a pop up European Uppercut.
Claudio pounded Brody with hammer and anvil elbow strikes.
Brody retaliated with a big time lariat!
“This has been a heavyweight slugfest,” said Excalibur.
Brody King splashed Claudio in the corner and followed up
with a running cannonball for a near fall! Brody superplexed
Claudio! Brody followed up with a stuffed piledriver, but
Claudio escaped the pin attempt. Claudio came back with the
Neutralizer and pinned Brody!
