Appearing at the CAA World Congress of Sports convention at
The Marriott at L.A. Live, WWE President Nick Khan gave an
outline of the future of WWE’s premium live event locations.
Khan noted that after meeting with other executives in WWE,
it was decided that Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Money In The
Bank, SummerSlam, and Money In The Bank will be taking place
either in the United States or Canada moving forward.
The so-called “big five” are a hot commodity for WWE where
cities are now actually bidding to host these events.
Khan also added that the plan is for other premium live
events on the yearly WWE calendar to be held overseas at
different locations.
This news will come as a blow for those locations such as
London who wanted to host WrestleMania but obviously, moving
such a massive event overseas would be a logistical
nightmare.
