WWE BUSINESS: Montreal breaks the 18-week WWE televised sellout streak

Posted on 4/16/124 by Colin Vassallo

Ahead of Monday Night Raw in Montreal last night, WWE were
riding on a high with nearly 20 consecutive sold out
televised shows but the streak came to an end in the Great
White North.

With WWE looking for its 19th television sellout, Montreal
broke WWE’s heart, with Centre Bell still having less than
500 tickets available for the show by the time it went on
the air.

Despite several messages on X by a lot of WWE Superstars
hyping up tickets, the event fell short of selling out
although it had a healthy attendance of over 12,000 in the
building.

If Montreal managed to sell out, it was going to be tough
anyway to reach 20 as the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh
still has around 1,000 tickets available for this Friday’s
Smackdown with a few more days to go as WWE opened up more
tickets over the last several days.

Smackdown has its own streak going dating back to when The
Rock started to appear weekly so it will be interesting to
see if they manage to move the remaining tickets.
