I also wanted to say something in this column about Vince McMahon again conveniently forgetting the death of one of his former employees, Andrew "Test" Martin. As a result of Martin's death, McMahon left off of RAW the announcement of the Von Erichs being put in the WWE Hall of Fame...with the logic being that we don't want two references to wrestling and drug-related deaths.
Why?
Deaths due to wrestlers using the growth-enhancing chemicals that are par for the course along with the pain-killers that have become pretty much the same are "bad publicity". Thus, anyone associated with it has to be treated like a non-person.
With the tape libraries and publicity machine available to WWE, it's funny how it took "I'm only 19" Barbara Blank (aka Kelly Kelly) to blow a kiss to the sky on the live RAW and remember her former love, for anyone on WWE to remember Andrew Martin.
Hey Vince, karma's a bitch when it comes to the afterlife.
Until next time...
